Las Campanas Community Funds awards a record level $1,100,000 in community grants to area nonprofits

Santa Fe, NM — Las Campanas Community Funds (LCCF) at Santa Fe Community Foundation (SFCF) recently provided grants totaling $1,100,000 to 34 nonprofits in the Santa Fe community.  This is a 25% increase over awards of $847,500 in 2024 and nearly 50% more than awarded in 2022. Over the past 20 years, this fund has awarded more than $5M to nonprofits focusing on the areas of health, human services, and education in Santa Fe and northern New Mexico. Donations are received from members of The Club at Las Campanas throughout the year and during the community’s Annual Appeal held annually November - December.  

In recognition of the difficult circumstances faced by many in greater Santa Fe, donations are directed to nonprofits who provide support to individuals and families in need. For this year’s grant cycle, awards totaling $500,000 were given to organizations focused on education, $233,00 to health services delivery, and $369,000 to human services support

Area nonprofits receiving grants included: Bag n' Hand Food Pantry, Big Brothers Big Sisters Mountain Region, The Birthing Tree, Breakthrough Santa Fe, CASA First Judicial District, Casa Milagro, College and Career Plaza, Communities in Schools, Cooking with Kids, Esperanza Shelter, First Serve, Food Depot, Gerard's House, Girls Inc., Growing Up NM, Interfaith Community Shelter (Pete's Place), Kitchen Angels, La Familia Medical, Lensic Children’s Education Program, Life Circle, Life Link, Literacy Volunteers, Memory Care Alliance, NDI New Mexico, Reading Quest, Santa Fe Alliance for Science, Santa Fe Children's Museum, Santa Fe Indigenous Center, Sky Center, Solace Crisis Center, St. Elizabeth’s Shelter, Villa Therese Catholic Clinic, Villages of Santa Fe, and Youth Shelter and Family Services.

“Our members have once again demonstrated incredible generosity and commitment to our community,” said John Bernstein, Chair of Community Grants at LCCF. “In response to the significant economic and social challenges facing many people in Santa Fe, they have stepped up in a remarkable way. The $1.1 million in grants will help provide food for those in need, shelter for the unhoused, and support programs that drive lasting change through education and skills development. We are deeply grateful for this outpouring of support and proud to help fund organizations making a real difference.” 

The Las Campanas Community Funds at Santa Fe Community Foundation is a component fund at SFCF, a local 501(c)(3) organization that stewards over 500 funds for donors, nonprofit agencies, and others.
