On Thursday, October 6, the Santa Fe Community Foundation presented its 36th Annual Piñon Awards -- a time-honored celebration of northern New Mexico's nonprofit sector. Were thrilled to present this year's winning nonprofits with their awards, a general operating grant, time on our radio show Community Matters, and videos that offer the public a glimpse into their vital work.

Another great Empty Stocking Year
Thanks to the generosity of so many of donors throughout northern New Mexico, we were able to grant out $412,000 to 324 families in need. Today, we invite you to learn more about the how our Empty Stocking Fund served northern New Mexico families this past holiday season.

Through Giving Circles, Santa Fe Community Foundation Exhibits the Value of Equity
The Foundation takes a direct approach to philanthropy, helping deploy funds and resources to not only meet the needs of people, organizations, and causes in New Mexico, but also empower them to flourish far into the future. The Foundation has found that one of the best ways to accomplish this synergy is through stewarding identity-based giving circles.
